Who We Are
We are a company with 6 years of experience in the electric power generation sector (YPF Energí​a Eléctrica S.A.), which has quickly positioned itself as an important player in the Argentine power generation market. We are strongly committed to contribute to the growth of Argentina and to the generation of value for our shareholders, customers and communities.

Our History
In 2011 YPF opened an electrical market business unit, as a first step in its transformation from an oil& Gas company into a comprehensive energy company. In 2013 YPF Energía Eléctrica became YPF´s subsidiary in the electric power market, and began operations with the Tucumán Power generation complex, with 830 MW of installed capacity.

From that moment on, the company has focused on the generation of efficient and reliable energy, through the construction of new power generation plants and renewable energy sites, with first-class technology, to supply YPF and other large industrial and for the commercialization in the wholesale electricity market (MEM).​

For YPF Luz, carrying out business ethically is absolutely essential. To implement it, we have a Code of Ethics and Conduct that guides the actions of our people on a day-to-day basis. Héctor Martín Mandarano
Héctor Martín Mandarano CEO
Martín is an electrical engineer from the National Technological University in Buenos Aires, he holds a Masters in Business Administration from IAE and a Masters in Management of the Wholesale Electricity Market from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA). He has held different responsibilites in the Argentine electricity and energy sector, participating in studies of power systems and operation of high voltage networks in SACME (1997-2000), and dispatch, movement of energy in Perez Companc (2000-2002). He was Manager of the Electricity Business Division at Petrobras Energía S.A. between 2001 and 2011, Director of Thermal Plants Manuel Belgrano and San Martin between 2002 and 2011, Electrical Business Manager at YPF from 2011 to 2016, Director at Metrogas between 2014 and 2016 and Chairman of the Board of Central Dock Sud since 2012. He joined to YPF in 2011, performing as Manager of the Electricity Business. In 2016 he assumed the position of Executive Manager of the Electric and Renewable Business. He has served as General Manager of the Company since 2013.
Santiago Sajaroff
Santiago Sajaroff Chief Operating Officer
Santiago is an Electrical Engineer from the National Technological University, with a Masters in Electrical Market Administration from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires and a Masters in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina. At YPF he worked as Commercial Manager of CDS, Commercial Manager of the Electric Business of the Vice Presidency of Gas and Energy of YPF, then as Manager of Technical Management, Projects and Constructions of the Electric Business of the Vice Presidency of Gas and Energy of YPF and as Manager of Technical Management, Projects and Constructions of YPF EE. In addition, since 2016 he has served as Deputy Director, then Regular Director and currently as Vice President of CDS. Prior to joining YPF, Santiago served as Chief of Operations of CDS for almost 10 years and previously in other positions in the same company. Since January 2017, he has been COO of the Company.
Patricio Cipollone
Patricio Cipollone Commercial Manager
Patricio is an Industrial Engineer from the National University of La Plata, with a specialization in Electricity and Natural Gas Market at the Buenos Aires Technology Institute (ITBA). Prior to joining YPF, he developed most of his professional career in the Commercial Management of AES Argentina Generación S.A. between 2006 and 2013, where he was a member of the AGEERA board of directors. From March 2013 to May 2014, he was Commercial Manager in ENARSA's Large Power Plants. He joined YPF in June 2014 within the Commercial Management of the Electricity Business. In January 2016, he assumed the position of Commercial Manager of Central Dock Sud until December 2016. Since January 2017, he has been in charge of the Company's Commercial Management.
Sebastián Torres
Sebastián Torres Audit Manager and Chief Compliance Officer
Sebastián is a lawyer from the University of Morón and holds a Master's Degree in Commercial and Business Law from the University of Buenos Aires. He worked for Deutsche Bank AG and Bankboston NA in the areas of credit risk and collections. In 2001 he joined GE Capital Argentina, where he led the Legal and Compliance department until mid-2006, when he took on the role of Compliance Integration Manager for one of the most important acquisitions of GE Global Banking in Central America (BAC Credomatic Network), based in Costa Rica. In January 2010 he returned to Argentina to fill the role of Chief Compliance Officer Latin America of GE Global Business Services and years later the role of Executive Compliance Counsel Latin America of GE Global Growth & Operations. He is Chief Compliance Officer of YPF Luz since May 2018.
Alejandro Avayú
Alejandro Avayú Supply Chain Manager
Alejandro is a public accountant from the University of Buenos Aires, has an MBA from the Bolivian Catholic University, in agreement with Harvard University, and a Postgraduate in Business Management from IAE. In 1997 he joined YPF, working in Bolivia, Iran, Dubai and Iraq, as finance controller and financial advisor. From 2013 until 2017 he worked as Managing Director of Trading Companies of YPF. In August 2017, he assumed the position of Supply Chain Manager at YPF Luz.
Edgardo Latessa
Edgardo Latessa Quality, Environment, Health & Safety Manager
Edgardo is a Civil Engineer from the University of Buenos Aires, Engineer in Hygiene and Safety at the National University of Mar del Plata and Specialist in Natural Gas and Petroleum at the University of Buenos Aires. He began his professional career in 2001 as Construction Supervisor of the Road Concession Control Authority (OCCOVI). In 2004 he joined YPF where he held several positions in the area of Environment and Safety. In 2014 he was appointed Head of Environment, Health and Safety of YPF, a position he held until joining the company in November 2017 as Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Manager.
Gabriel Abalos
Gabriel Abalos Finance Manager
Gabriel is a Public Accountant from the University of Buenos Aires, with an International Financial Analyst Certificate issued by ACIIA. He started his professional career in the year 1997 in Arthur Andersen, as an auditor of financial entities. In 2003 he joined YPF where he held various positions in the accounting areas to later be appointed as Investor Relations Manager and Market Relations Manager. In 2013, he was appointed Corporate Finance Manager, a position he held until joining YPF Luz as Finance Manager at the end of 2017.
Jorge Ravlich
Jorge Ravlich Electric Business Manager
Jorge is a public accountant, with a financial specialization from the University of Buenos Aires and an EMBA from IAE. He started his professional career in 1997 in the companies Pérez Companc, Petrobras Argentina and Pampa Energía. He was Director of Termoeléctrica Manuel Belgrano, Termoeléctrica San Martín, WEBSA, Distrilec and Enecor, Member of the Board of Directors of AGEERA and ATEERA. He joined YPF Luz in 2017.
Mariana Iribarne
Mariana Iribarne Institutional Relations Manager
Mariana holds a BA in political science and economics from Wake Forest University, and an MPA from Columbia University. She began her career in 1995 at the Ministry of Economy, in the National Directorate of Public Investment. Between 1997 and 2004 she was Economic Advisor at the Embassy of Australia and between 2004 and 2008 Economic and Commercial Advisor of the European Union in Argentina. In 2008 she became Corporate Affairs Manager of Intel Corporation, and between 2012 and 2017 she was Public Policy Manager of General Electric South Cone. Mariana joined YPF Luz in June 2018.
Julio Temen
Julio Temen Engineering and Projects Manager
Julio is an Engineer from the University of Buenos Aires, with a Postgraduate in Management Development from the Catholic University of Argentina. He worked at EDESUR as a Medium Voltage Designer, and later joined IBM Argentina as Head of Energy and Critical Infrastructure between 2005 and 2009, and was Operations Manager at Aggreko Argentina until 2012. He continued his career at ABB Argentina, where he held the positions of Project Manager for Medium and High Voltage equipment and Business Unit Manager for Outdoor products and Medium Voltage Protections. He joined YPF Luz in 2017.
Ricardo H. Castañeda
Ricardo H. Castañeda Legal Services Manager
Ricardo is a lawyer from the Argentine Catholic University and holds a Master's in Business Law (Universidad Austral), with a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Law from the UBA, and did the Negotiation and Leadership Program at Harvard University. He worked as a partner of Estudio O'Farrell in charge of the Corporate, Financial and Capital Markets Department where he advised companies in the energy sector, technological start-ups, retail, healthcare, communications and technology. During 2008 and 2009, he was a member of the International Capital Market Department of the firm Allen & Overy LLP, New York office. Since 2007 he has worked in the academic field at the University of Buenos Aires.
Leonardo Limoli
Leonardo Limoli Central Dock Sud Commercial Manager
Leonardo is a Public Accountant from the Catholic University of Argentina and holds a postgraduate degree in Finance from the same institution. He also holds an Executive MBA from IAE and a Masters in International Finance from the Foundation of Financial Studies in Madrid, Spain. He has worked in different positions related to the planning and control of Gas and Energy management, as well as in the commercial area in the Natural Gas sector. He was Commercial Manager of Gas Natural en Energía Argentina S.A. between 2016 and 2018 and was Natural Gas Sales Coordinator of the Executive Management of Gas and Energy in Petrobras Argentina, company in which he held various positions during the period from 2004 to 2016. He joined YPF Luz in 2018.
Tomás Gómez Álzaga
Tomás Gómez Álzaga Human Resources Manager
Tomás is a lawyer, graduated from the Argentine Catholic University, with a specialization in Labor Relations (Torcuato Di Tella University), Human Resources (UADE) and a Postgraduate in Management Development (IAE). He has more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Labor Relations in the Oil & Gas industry, working in companies such as Baker Hughes and San Antonio International. He joined YPF in 2011 in the area of Labor Relations for Upstream and as Manager of Human Resources in Drilling & Workover, Production and Exploration. Before joining YPF Luz in June 2019, he was Human Resources Manager of YPF´s Industrial Complex in La Plata.
Alberto Bosch
Alberto Bosch Process and Technology Manager
Alberto is an industrial engineer from ITBA with an MBA from the IAE Business School. He began his professional career at ESSO Argentina, in various positions in the area of Fuels Marketing between 1996 and 2006. He continued his career at Tenaris in IT, working in application management and continuous improvement of business processes between 2006 and 2018. During those years, he managed ERP implementation projects, process re-engineering and integral technology solutions in the group´s companies in several countries in Europe and America. He joined YPF Luz in August 2018.
Fernando Peralta
Fernando Peralta Administrative and Fiscal Manager
Fernando is a public accountant graduated from UCA with an MBA from IAE Business School. He began his professional career in 1998 at Arthur Andersen, as an auditor of energy companies. From 2003 to 2007 he was Head of Administration at Repsol-YPF in Bolivia. In 2007 he joined YPF S.A. first as Manager of Administration and then as Manager of Consolidation and Reporting. In 2018 he was appointed Administrative and Fiscal Manager of YPF Energía Eléctrica S.A.
